I've spent the last two point five weeks around Northern Virginia and it sucks. Work is great and spending this much time with Arron has been awesome, but No. VA suuuuucks. There are way too many people! I'm from Massachusetts so I should be use to this however most of the Northeast knows how to handle its population. The Pilgrams came over and then a bunch of other Europeans. They creates villages then towns and then cities . Everything works and generally flows. This god forsaken place was found by a few Brits and then a few more came over and then they kidnapped shiploads of Africans and worked the shit out of the land. Then 350 years later they decided to build a Walmart on top of a Panera on top of a housing complex on top of 100 more housing complexes. Oh & throw in a military base and I-95. & that is No. VA. & they may think becaue they have their poorly built condos and their euro bumber stickers that they're part of the civilized world, but no! They're still fucking Jesus-humping Southerners. I know it's not they deep South, but they're not fooling me. I saw my 1st megachurch last week. I saw a vanity plate today that said "BY JESUS". I have not seen one piercing. No one has any individual style. Sure there are the 13 year-olds who are trying to be "skater", but we have been doing that for years. I can't wait to leave Friday. Arron  & I are getting the fuck out of here.

& speaking of... Friday, I will be leaving HELL and making a quick stop in Pennsylvania to drop off a company vehicle and possibly meet Arron's ex-gf for the 1st time. *crosses fingers* I'll spend the weekend with Arron in New York. It's his birthday on Sunday. Then I'll spend a few days around my apartment hanging out with Georgia and getting last minutes things in order. Wednesday or Thursday I'll stop by Amherst to see my ex-bf (Aaron) on my way to parents' house where I will spend my time until Sunday (May 10th). On that day, Arron & I will drive 9 hours until we reach the kind of beautiful woods of Calais, ME. I'll be there for about 2 months I hope.

Going to Virginia for three weeks. I got a temporary job working in an archaeology lab. It's just for a few weeks, but there should be more work available y then. Maybe they'll even put me to work after. I drove all the way back up to Albany though for no reason. It's nicer down there if anyone is passing by and wants to hangout. I'll be southwest of DC.

End of March update:

-still unemployed

-unemployment ran out & the unemployment office gave me the run around... whatever

-going to Virginia all next week

-have officially lost 60 pounds

-had my 1st latte

-bought 2 dresses

Woah! Haven't posted in awhile!
Still unemployed. I want work to start soon. I'm sick of sitting around. I pretty much watch TV & go to the gym a few times a week. I've lost a total of 9 pounds since starting January 1st. Most of it has been from my tummy so I still have more to lose!

Arron  & I have been doing awesome. We totally have each others' backs & are having a lot of fun. I'm so happy to be with him. We had our 6 month anniversary or whatever you want to call it a couple weeks ago. I dunno... it's just really great.

It hard to come up with a real update when you're unemployed & living in a city where you really only know 3 people and 1 guinea pig. I don't get out much. *shruh*

Here MTV's schedule for the inauguration tomorrow. It was the 1st, most complete one i could find. I'll be going to the gym during it, but they have TV's there so I'll be locked in.

So I officially started my weight loss journey January 1st with the rest of the country despite posting back in December. I actually had to work & then the holidays got in the way of course. Georgia & I have been going to the gym or working out almost everyday. I've lost 6-7 pounds so far, & I'm feeling really good!

Once again I washed my cell phone with my laundry. I haven't done this in about 4 years, but I'm still not proud. It's completely dead. I've been letting it dry out & nada. Therefore I have almost no phone numbers. I got a handful off Facebook already so some people are covered. If everyone else could (ie. Conor [yes, I still miss you]) , please leave me your phone number(s) or e-mail them to me. Thanks!

So I'm going to have about three months of down time so I've decided to restart my weight loss plan that I took up last winter. I kind of seem to do the opposite of everyone else. This is the time of year when people are gaining weight, but this is when I like to lose weight. It's cold out! Get out there & sweat & warm up!

I haven't loss or gained any weight since I stopped working out last spring, which is awesomeness. I'm still fluctuating between 43 & 45 pounds below my original weight last November. I'm going to start drinking more water & counting my calories this week. Next week Georgia is going to take me to Bally Total Fitness where she works out & get me a gym membership. I'm going to keep my goal small & go for about a pound a week. It's what I worked for last time & I've managed to keep the weight off.

I'm wicked stoked!

Holiday shopping is finally done & I got my memere a birthday card. No worries until Groundhog Day (Feb. 2).

I am so bored. Besides work, I'm going to spend the next week and a half in a hotel room by myself. This is the 1st longish project Arron & I have not worked together on. & to boot, I'm staying a spit away from PA, which is the state he spent most of his life in. I'm already watch all of my downloaded TV shows & a movie... soooooo bored.

-transitioning to a vegan diet
-going to start removing most corn from my diet (except real corn)
-wearing my owl pajamas!

& I bought a super cute coat @ H&M today....

No one I know is going to see me today besides Arron so I wanted everyone to know my makeup is really good today. My foundation & bronzer/blush went on really smoothly and then I decided to do a green & gold eyeshadow. Then I finished it off with a dark green liner. I accidentally put on too much mascara so my eyelashes are crazy, but not too crazy. I'll be honest, I usually only put on a wee bit of mascara because my eyelashes are crazy big. I don't mean to brag, but they are & I'm just not sure if people can handle them with the full mascara treatment. & I wouldn't even dare think of putting mascara on the bottom lashes. I have some time to kill so I think I'll redo my nails. I'm really bored if you can't tell. I'm in Arron's apartment all by myself for a few hours & he doesn't have a tv & I'm stealing a weak internet connection.

Oh right... I'll be in the Adirondacks for 5 weeks. On the weekends I'll be around PA & NY mostly, but I'm hoping to get to Worcester around the 6th of September.

It's my birthday! My parents' got me a sweet Thule roofrack for my car & so far Arron (new boy) has gotten me a new sighting compass & some other cute things and apparently there's more to come. Doug baked me a bunch of cookies & I only have a few left (b/c Doug is one of the best cookie-makers ever). Doug, Georgia, Seth, Arron, & I went out for sushi Saturday. Aaron, Paul, & I went out for Thai Friday. I'm still up in Calais, ME & all my coworkers are taking me out for Mexican tonight. It's been a great birthday so far. Thanks everyone on Facebook for writing on my wall! Fun, fun, fun birthday. & my brother even liked the presents I got for his birthday, which has made it even better.

So I guess I'm finally comfortable with telling everyone that Aaron & I broke up a little over two weeks ago. It was hard at 1st so I didn't really want to tell anyone why. We're going to attempt to be friends in the future, but we'll see since we're both really bad at calling even our best friends. We didn't have a fight or anything like that, and no one is mad at anyone else. I'll leave it at that.

I moved back in with my parents' for the summer, but not really because I got a job in Maine until at least mid-August. It kind of sucks and kind of rocks all at the same time. It's all too complicated for LJ since I'm sure no one cares about silty loam and/or natural gas pipelines. Oh & I'm like way up in Maine. It took me 7 hours to drive here without stopping once from Mass. It's pretty much in the middle of no where, but it has been a nice place to get away...& speaking of, have to go.

Haven't updated in awhile. A lot has happened kind of.
*Not much on the weight loss front. I haven't gotten to that 50 pound mark yet, but I'm hoping to get there sometime soon.
*That archaeology job went really well in CT. It lasted an extra week so that was awesomeness. I had a few deer ticks on me so I'm watching out for Lyme disease rashes.
*I'm back to substitute teaching for now, but school ends in an week and a half therefore I need to find another job. *fingers crossed*
*I finally got accepted into the education program I applied to. I have to sign up for some summer classes this week and meet with an adviser this month. One of my professors gave me an incomplete and no one at the college seems to want to help me find out why and the professor isn't responding to any of my e-mails.
*Aaron & I are starting to look for a new apartment.
*Dexrex seems to be doing well. they just got some new media coverage this weekened (http://mashable.com/2008/06/08/dexrex-blackberry/ & http://www.rimarkable.com/dexrex-releases-free-message-archive-service-for-blackberry) if anyone wants to check it out.

Also, my pepere passed away two and a half weeks ago. Three weeks ago today he decided that he wanted to stop doing dialysis. I'm going home this weekend to spend Father's Day with my mother (& yes, my dad). So yeah, it's been hard; but we all have to be there for my memere because he was her world and now he's gone. So.. I'll be home Saturday & Sunday. Georgia, Seth, Douglas and I are going to the movies Saturday so that should be fun. Bye
